We’re working with a great law firm that’s on the lookout for an experienced Residential Conveyancer to join their team. If you’ve got a solid background in handling property transactions from start to finish and enjoy working in a supportive, down-to-earth environment—this could be the perfect next step for you.
Key duties and responsibilities:
· Build up on caseload of files
· Prepare and review legal documents related to property transactions
· Conduct title searches
· Provide advice and guidance to clients regarding property laws & regulations
· Undertake certain elements of fee-earning work under supervision
· Completion of client questionnaires
· Drafting of petition/court documentation
· Deputise for fee earners in their absence if necessary, passing urgent issues to another senior fee earner for guidance (if a small team)
· Seek assistance whenever appropriate from Partner/colleagues in respect of unusual or difficult problems/issues arising in any cases
· Contribute towards your own self-development and attend training arranged for you
· Provide support to other fee earners as required
· Report immediately to the Partner on any issue/complaint re: professional conduct and/or client dissatisfaction and/or potential negligence or negative cost implications for the firm
· Promote good relations with other members of staff and facilitate teamwork
Requirements:
· Experience in new builds and complicated resi would be beneficial
· Ability to work on own initiative and to deadlines
· In-depth knowledge of property laws and regulations
· Great attention to detail and communication skills are required
· Proficient in using conveyancing software and other relevant tools
