A fantastic opportunity has become available for an experienced Electrical, Mechanical, Fabrication or Multi-skilled professional to step into an Assessor role, supporting the next generation of engineering talent across the Humber region.
This position is ideal for someone from industry who enjoys developing others and is ready to move into a training and assessment environment. You’ll be visiting apprentices in their workplaces, assessing their progress against apprenticeship standards and helping them grow into confident, capable engineers.
What you’ll be doing
Visiting apprentices on-site to assess their skills, progress and competency
Supporting learners through their apprenticeship journey
Building strong relationships with employers and learners
Providing clear feedback and guidance to help apprentices achieve their goals
Ensuring all assessments and documentation meet required standards
What we’re looking for
Relevant trade qualifications (Electrical, Mechanical, Fabrication or Multi‑Skilled)
Strong technical knowledge and hands-on industry experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A genuine passion for developing young people
Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
Assessor or IQA qualifications are desirable but not essential — full training and support will be provided.
