Looking to start your career in finance and gain a recognised qualification while you work? This Apprentice Accounts Assistant role in Grimsby is a great opportunity to build solid accounting experience while working towards your Assistant Accountant Level 3 qualification. You’ll also attend Grimsby Institute one day per week as part of your apprenticeship.
You’ll join a supportive team where you’ll learn the day-to-day workings of a busy accounts function, develop your technical skills and gain confidence using industry‑standard systems.
What you’ll be doing
Collating and processing accounting data to support the finance team
Processing receipts and invoices accurately and on time
Handling daily financial transactions and maintaining clear records
Supporting the purchase ledger with checks and updates
Carrying out general office duties to keep things running smoothly
Using in-house IT systems, including Microsoft Excel and Sage
Taking on other associated tasks as your skills grow
Hours
08:30–17:00, Monday to Thursday
08:30–15:00, Friday
