Accounts Senior

Are you an experienced Accounts Senior looking to join a well‑established, forward‑thinking accountancy practice in Grimsby? In this role, you’ll work closely with a varied portfolio of clients, supporting them with their accounts, digital solutions and day‑to‑day queries. It’s a great opportunity for someone who enjoys combining technical accounting work with genuine client interaction, helping businesses understand their numbers and make informed decisions.

You’ll be based mainly in Grimsby, with occasional travel to the Barton office when needed.

What you’ll be doing

• Supporting the Portfolio Manager with the management of client accounts
• Preparing year‑end accounts for a range of clients
• Reviewing accounts, VAT returns and bookkeeping work
• Implementing accounting systems for new and existing clients
• Liaising directly with clients, including on‑site visits
• Support the growth of the company
• Uploading and maintaining accurate financial information
• Providing general support across the practice to ensure a high‑quality client service

What we’re looking for

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in an accountancy practice
• Strong technical knowledge across accounts prep, VAT and bookkeeping
• Confident communicator who enjoys client contact
• A team player who supports colleagues and clients
• Full UK driving licence (due to occasional travel between offices)
