We are recruiting for an experienced HR Advisor to join a busy and supportive HR team based in Grimsby. This is a varied, hands-on role offering the opportunity to work closely with managers and stakeholders across the business, providing expert HR support and guidance while contributing to key people initiatives.
This position would suit someone with strong generalist HR experience who enjoys balancing employee relations work with operational HR support and project-based activity.
Key Responsibilities
Provide practical HR advice and guidance to managers in line with employment legislation and company policies
Manage a range of employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management and performance-related matters
Support managers with flexible working requests, family leave processes and maternity-related queries
Process contractual changes and ensure employment records are maintained accurately
Respond to HR enquiries, providing a professional and customer-focused service
Assist with HR administration throughout the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, changes to employment and employee documentation
Review and update HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with current legislation.
Contribute to employee engagement, wellbeing and people-focused initiatives.
Support and deliver HR projects aimed at improving processes, employee experience and business performance.
Skills & Experience
CIPD, ideally Level 5 (study support for people wanting to progress from Level 3 to 5)
Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
Strong communication and relationship-building abilities
Professional, discreet and able to manage confidential information appropriately
Comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative HR team
