We are recruiting for a Shift Leader to join a busy manufacturing operation working a rotating weekly shift pattern of 6:00am to 2:00pm and 2:00pm to midnight.
This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone who enjoys leading from the front. You’ll be responsible for managing and supporting a production team while remaining actively involved in day-to-day manufacturing operations. When required, you’ll step onto the shop floor to operate machinery, assist with production activities and help keep output running efficiently.
You’ll lead by example, ensuring production targets, quality standards and health and safety requirements are met whilst building a positive and productive working environment for your team.
What We’re Looking For
Previous experience in a manufacturing or production supervisory role
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
A hands-on approach and willingness to support production operations when needed
Experience operating manufacturing machinery or production equipment
Good understanding of health and safety requirements within a factory environment
Strong problem-solving and organisational skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production setting
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise production staff during your shift
Allocate workload and monitor team performance
Ensure production targets and quality standards are achieved
Operate machinery and support production activities as required
Minimise downtime and help resolve operational issues
Conduct shift handovers and maintain production records
Promote a safe, clean and efficient working environment
Support staff training and development
