We’re working with a well‑established accountancy practice who are looking for an experienced Accounts Senior to join their growing team. You will have at least three years of practice experience and enjoy client interaction, variety and taking ownership of their workload. You’ll be based mainly in Grimsby, with occasional travel to the Barton office when needed.
What you’ll be doing
Supporting the Portfolio Manager with the management of client accounts
Preparing year‑end accounts for a range of clients
Reviewing accounts, VAT returns and bookkeeping work
Implementing accounting systems for new and existing clients
Liaising directly with clients, including on‑site visits
Support the growth of the company
Uploading and maintaining accurate financial information
Providing general support across the practice to ensure a high‑quality client service
What we’re looking for
Minimum 3 years’ experience in an accountancy practice
Strong technical knowledge across accounts prep, VAT and bookkeeping
Confident communicator who enjoys client contact
A team player who supports colleagues and clients
Full UK driving licence (due to occasional travel between offices)
