Our client is a well-established, national training provider. They are looking for a Remote Understanding Autism Tutor to join their team.
Purpose of the Understanding Autism Tutor role:
The purpose of the role is to deliver Level 2 in Understanding Autism and Understanding Behaviour that Challenges.
Understanding Autism Tutor Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging lessons
Facilitate soft skills, English, Maths & ICT when required
Support learners with the skills & knowledge needed to support individuals with SEN
Conduct initial assessments
Monitor learners’ progress and ensure the CRM is kept up to date
Mentor and teach adult learners to excel as future SEN Tutors
The Perfect Understanding Autism Tutor Will Have the Following Requirements:
Experience teaching Level 2 in “Understanding Autism” & “Understanding Behaviour that Challenges” qualifications
Experience teaching and mentoring SEN Tutors
Qualifications Required for the Understanding Autism Tutor :
Teaching qualifications at or above level 3 (e.g. PGCE, PTTLS equivalent etc.)
Level 2 qualifications in English, Maths & ICT
Familiarity with Quality standards, including the Ofsted inspection framework
